I like to believe I’m pretty savvy on the topic of ridiculous groups. I’ve known about the Society for Creative Anachronism for years. I grew up watching The World’s Strongest Man and am considering competing in the Four Square World Championships.

However, a West Coast phenomenon has eluded me until now, Cardboard Tube Fighting. My chances at an Olympic medal are growing slimmer each year but this is something I could do. It’s cheap, not too skill intensive, and I can hit things. Now I just need some cardboard, tape, and a Metsubushi.
